Paramjyoti Chattopadhyay

Paramjyoti is a development practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in policy advisory, programme implementation and monitoring & evaluation of development and allied sectors programmes/ schemes. He has worked extensively in government and donor agency progamme design, management and monitoring & evaluation with focus on  economic development, agribusiness, rural development, poverty alleviation, food processing, etc. in India and several African countries. Earlier, he has worked with reputed organizations such as Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, Villgro Innovations Foundation, IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative Ltd, Centre for Development Finance (IFMR), etc. Over the years, he has developed a deep understanding of development and allied sector issues through a balance of in-depth sectoral research and hands-on application of such research at field level. He has worked closely with a wide ranging clientele/ partners such as Central Ministries, State Governments, Donor Agencies such as Asian Development Bank, DFID, USAID and GIZ, World Bank, etc. He led the evaluation of more than 30 Centrally Sponsored Schemes in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Sectors for NITI Aayog. His areas of interest are evidence based policy making, promoting domain specific innovations and strategy development for government and donor agencies.
