Reliable direct measurement of mortality in India: 15 years of lessons from the RGI's Million Death Study

Professor Prabhat Jha (OC, MD, DPhil, FRSC, FCAHS) of the University of Toronto and the Centre for Global Health Research India Foundation is the lead investigator of the MDS. He presented on lessons learnt for accelerating progress in human health including the needs for enhanced mortality monitoring to meet various development goals of the Government of India.
