Use of administrative data in government

Aparna Krishnan is currently Leading J-PAL South Asia’s IDEA Initiative and is also the Project Director overseeing J-PAL South Asia’s institutional engagement with the State Government of Tamil Nadu. In this session, she talked about the guidelines on the use of administrative data and aspects that need to be considered while collaborating with government ministries in this context. The role of administrative data in evaluations was also discussed using examples that have innovatively employed such data to answer policy relevant questions.
