Use of Administrative Data

This session was conducted by Ms Aparna Krishnan who is the Project Director at JPAL South Asia. The session aimed at providing an insight into administrative data, its multi-faceted uses and its relevance in a research and policy setting. Furthermore, the talk aimed to familiarise participants with guidelines on the use of administrative data and aspects that need to be considered while collaborating with government ministries in this context. The role of administrative data in evaluations was also discussed using examples that have innovatively employed such data to answer policy relevant questions.
