Questionnaire Development

The engaging lecture on Questionnaire Design provided a useful primer to the participants on how to design questionnaires effectively. The lecture focused on important aspects to keep in mind while designing questionnaires like conceptualisation and designing of survey, flow of questionnaires, skip patterns, instructions, ordering of questions, various types of questions and observation checklists. The lecture was followed by a case study on questionnaire development on 25th June, where participants worked in groups to develop a questionnaire for an evaluation of a government programnme. These sessions were led by Lipika Kapoor, a Research Manager at J-PAL South Asia.
