Uptick in India’s Headline Inflation: A transitory phase

Nikita Jain, Research Officer at DMEO and Siddharth Rathore, Assistant Professor (Economics) at Delhi University presented their analyses of the recent Consumer Price Index (CPI) data release and the past inflation trend in India to see whether the increase in CPI numbers is a result of transitory or persistent factors. The authors also delved into how they used Tableau to convert inflation data into infographics to add visual appeal.
