Bijeta Mohanty has a background in International Development and has earned his master’s from Institute of Development Studies, Sussex, UK and bachelor’s in Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha
She has cross-sector and multi-functional work experience across research, not-for-profits, and consulting space; in the areas of program management, policy engagement, and research. Her research and interest areas are around the themes of gender, globalization, innovation and development. Previously she has worked on evidence-based policy engagements and research management, ed-tech projects, and IT consultancy services. Some of the past projects involved working with government of Bihar towards developing a sustainable ecosystem using evidence-based research for effective policy and decision making, and other experiences include program implementation of a large-scale randomized contrail trial (RCT) research study for an ed-tech program in government senior secondary schools of Haryana, and social enterprise initiatives that included working in the space of early childhood education and ed-tech primary education. She has researched on the theme of grassroots innovations, exploring the effort behind institutionalizing these practices in India.
