1. Findings of the evaluation of Social Inclusion Sector including schemes of Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Ministry of Minority Affairs
The Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office has recently conducted evaluation of over 125 centrally sponsored schemes of Government of India in line with its mandate to monitor and evaluate various programmes to strengthen the impact of development interventions of the Government of India. As a next step DMEO is organizing a webinar series to share the findings and experiences of these studies. The fifth webinar in this series, is proposed to share the findings of the evaluation of Social Inclusion Sector including schemes of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Ministry of Minority Affairs. It will provide an opportunity to discuss how the Social Inclusion and allied sector in India can be leveraged towards achieving the Sustainable Development goals and the National Development Agenda with the help of flagship initiatives of Government of India and also with the contribution of States Governments and UTs.
2. Development of Output-Outcome Monitoring Framework for Government of Jammu and Kashmir
A 1-day training session was conducted by the DMEO team, on December 22, 2021, for capacity building of the officials of the Planning Department and other line ministries/departments of Jammu and Kashmir on Output-Outcome based Monitoring and Output-Outcome Monitoring Framework for was developed for 83 schemes and projects under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).
3. DMEO in collaboration with KPMG, Ministry of Labour & Employment and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship completed the Jobs and Skills evaluation study in July 2020.
An online seminar was held on 2nd December 2021 with over 170 participants across states and UTs. The seminar aimed to sensitizee the state officials on the critical findings from the jobs and skills sector and highlighted some of the best practices in implementing key initiatives in the sector.

4. Dissemination of Insights on Education Sector to states from evaluation study of schemes of Ministry of Education, Government of India
DMEO in collaboration with Ministry of Education and KPMG completed the education sector evaluation study in August 2020. An online seminar was held on 27th October 2021 with participants across states from education and planning departments. The seminar aimed to sensitize the state officials on the critical findings from the sector and highlighted some of the best practices in implementing key initiatives in the education sector.

5. Insights on Agriculture Sector emerging from evaluation study of schemes of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Ministry of Animal Husbandry,Dairying and Fisheries, Government of India
DMEO in collaboration with Deloitte, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries has completed the agriculture evaluation study in August 2020. An online seminar was held on 24th September 2021 with participants across states from agriculture and planning departments. The seminar aimed to sensitize the state officials on the critical findings from the sector and highlighted some of the best practices in implementing key initiatives in the agriculture sector.

6. Session for States on Evaluations Diagnostic Tool, 5th Oct 2021
Building Evaluation capacities in government is critical for improving efficiency and effectiveness of public expenditure. DMEO in its efforts towards strengthening M&E ecosystem in India has been working with the state governments to build evaluation capabilities through multiple initiatives. To assist state government in building stronger evaluation institutional arrangements, DMEO has developed a diagnostic for assessment of evaluation system in the states.
A webinar was conducted by DMEO for stakeholders from planning departments across states & UTs to provide an objective of the assessment exercise, overview of the diagnostic tool followed by detailed discussion on the questions and addressing queries of the participants.

7. State capacity building workshop in the domain of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
A knowledge sharing session conducted by DMEO in Dec, 2020 was attended by over 500 participants from 22 States & 7 UTs. DMEO highlighted the importance of building M&E capacities across the country and gave a brief overview of major initiatives taken by DMEO like Output Outcome Monitoring Framework (OOMF), Sector Reviews, Data Governance Quality Assurance (DGQI), Global Indices for Reforms and Growth (GIRG), evaluation conducted for CSS schemes, SDGs, partnerships etc.

8. Insights on Urban Sector emerging from evaluation study of schemes of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India
DMEO in collaboration Ernst and Young (EY) and Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has completed the urban evaluation study in Feb 2021. An online seminar was held on 30th June 2021 to sensitize the state officials on the important sector findings from the report and some of best practices in implementing key urban initiatives. The seminar was attended by over 200 participants from the state urban and planning departments.

9. Insights on Health Sector emerging from evaluation study of schemes of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India
DMEO in collaboration Ernst and Young (EY) and MoHFW has completed the health evaluation study in Oct 2020. An online seminar was held on 18th August 2021 to sensitize the state officials on the important sector findings from the report and some of best practices in implementing key health initiatives. The seminar was attended by over 200 participants from the state health, medical education and planning departments.
