Abstract
The CoP-26 in Glasgow is an embodiment of collective global effort to urgently address alarming rise of carbon. Monitoring by focusing on right type of indicators and high-quality data is paramount in efforts to address global warming. The article tries to highlight the shortcomings of Global Climate Risk Index. It also points out how India’s module on National Disaster Management Information System does better by capturing damages and losses caused by variety of disasters and monitors the targets under the Sendai Framework.
