Ms Aarathi belongs to 2013 batch of Indian Economic Service (IES) and have experience in varied fields in different departments at both the Centre and the state . After probationary training, she worked as Regional Head of Labour Bureau, Southern Region, Chennai under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, where she handled inflation index CPI-IW -its collection, compilation and coordination in various Southern states. Base year revision of the index was also monitored during her tenure there. She handled evaluation of various central sector and centrally sponsored schemes during her tenure with the Programme Evaluation Office /DMEO, NITI Aayog as Senior Research Officer. During her 5 year deputation tenure with Govt of Kerala, Ms Aarathi was posted as Special Officer, WTO Cell in the Department of Agriculture where trade matters related to the most important crops of Kerala were monitored. She served as Mission Director, State Horticulture Mission, Govt of Kerala and Chief Executive Officer of Kerala Farmer Welfare Fund Board. She associated with a World Bank Funded Project in Kerala - Kerala Climate Resilient Agri Value Chain Modernisation Project (KERA) as its Joint Project Director. Ms Aarathi also served as the Member Secretary of the Expert Committee to revamp the Paddy Procurement process in Kerala.
