Prasanna Arun Bhangdia is an urban planner. His interests are in the fields of sustainable development, climate change, and disaster resilience planning, and he has over three years of experience in the field.
He was previously associated with the National Institute of Urban Affairs (an autonomous institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, GoI) as a Programme Associate (Urban Resilience). Prior to that, he was an India Smart Cities Fellow under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India, where he was involved in the development of a digital tool for Indian cities to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.
To date, he has published six research papers and presented his work at five national and international conferences. Apart from that, he has also received many awards, including first prize in UGDSC 2022 (a national competition organised by MoHUA), the Best Student Award, the Certificate of the Indian Institute of Architects, and the G. K. Manolikar Prize, to name a few. He was selected for the Inspire Internship, which was funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Department of Science and Technology, GoI, New Delhi. He holds a degree in Master of Urban Planning from NIT Jaipur. In his free time, Prasanna enjoys reading and volunteering with social organisations.
