The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment as the focal point for drug demand reduction programmes in the country is of the view that implementation of programmes for de-addiction and rehabilitation of drug addicts requires, sustained and committed/involved effort with a great degree of flexibility and innovation, which could be delivered effectively only through the voluntary sector.
