Mr. Dhrijesh Kumar Tiwari is a 1998-batch Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer and a postgraduate in Statistics. He serves as Joint Secretary, Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), NITI Aayog, where he contributes to strengthening data-driven monitoring and evaluation.

With extensive experience in official statistics and large-scale data systems, Mr. Tiwari has held key positions across the Ministries of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, and Women & Child Development (WCD). At MoSPI, he oversaw nationwide socio-economic survey operations and contributed to the digitisation of survey questionnaires and introduction of tablet-based data collection. In agriculture, he worked on advance estimates of major crop production and strengthening agricultural statistics. He has contributed to mainstreaming gender budgeting in WCD and has represented India on United Nations technical committees on statistics and development indicators.
