Government of Andhra Pradesh

1. Signing of Statement of Intent
DMEO has signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh in December 2021 to strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation in the state. The objective of this SoI is to establish a framework for cooperative institution relations, to encourage and promote cooperation in capacity building of public officials and joint studies for monitoring and evaluation of government policies and programmes.

Government of Haryana

1. Signing of Statement of Intent
DMEO has signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management (SHIFM) in September 2020 to strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation in the state. The key areas of focus of engagement will be to assist the Government of Haryana in building technical capacities to build a robust M&E system in the country which include institutionalizing an output outcome monitoring system, training state officials and sharing best practices emerging from the national and international arena.

Government of Jammu and Kashmir

1. OOMF Development and Capacity building session
DMEO assisted the Government of Jammu & Kashmir in development of the Output Outcome Monitoring Framework for 9 key priority departments of the State Government of Jammu & Kashmir. Also, a two-day training session was conducted by the DMEO team on 22nd-23rd December 2021 for capacity building of the officials of the Planning Department and other line Ministries/Departments of Jammu & Kashmir regarding the OOMF for 83 schemes and projects under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).

Government of Madhya Pradesh

1. Signing of Statement of Intent with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA)
DMEO and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA) signed a Statement of Intent in August 2021 to work in partnership to strengthen Monitoring and Evaluation in India with a special focus on the state of Madhya Pradesh. The areas of cooperation include but are not limited to capacity building for public officials, strengthening capacities of local researchers, conducting joint studies, organizing workshops/forms/seminars leading to the advocacy of M&E in the country, exchange of best practices, etc.

2. Training of Research Associates recruited under the Chief Minister’s Young Professional Development Programme (CMYPDP)
DMEO collaborated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA) for imparting training in Monitoring & Evaluation to 52 Research Associates recruited under the Chief Minister’s Young Professional Development Programme (CMYPDP) of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.

The first round of training was organized virtually on 8th January 2022 wherein three sessions were conducted to familiarize trainees with the technical and operational aspects of monitoring and evaluation (M&E). These sessions focused on: Basics of M&E, Output-Outcome Monitoring Framework (OOMF), and Monitoring in Aspirational Districts.

The second round of training was organised physically from April 4-5, 2022 in New Delhi. The first day of the training programme sensitised the young officers about the policy initiatives undertaken by NITI Aayog. The sessions held during the second day focused on the monitoring initiatives undertaken by DMEO and the fundamentals of evaluations and its methodologies.



The training was undertaken by experts from DMEO, NITI Aayog, WFP, and Sambodhi.

Government of Meghalaya

1. Signing of Statement of Intent
DMEO has signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) in March 2021 to strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation in the state. The key areas of focus of engagement will be to assist the Government of Meghalaya in building technical capacities to build a robust M&E system in the country which include institutionalizing block level monitoring system, process mapping, training of state officials and sharing of best practices emerging from the national and international arena.

Government of Rajasthan

1. Capacity building sessions for staff of the Government of Rajasthan conducted by WFP and DMEO

a. Session on Monitoring and Evaluation Fundamentals, 28th September 2021
WFP and DMEO undertook a one-day joint classroom training on M&E fundamentals for all staff in the Directorate of Evaluation Organization, Govt of Rajasthan. Facilitators from DMEO along with facilitators from WFP introduced the staff to a range of topics including; the importance of M&E and impactful examples from the globe; key concepts and elements of M&E; differentiating monitoring from evaluation; typical evaluation cycle; and understanding logical frameworks.

 

b. Session on Output-Outcome-Monitoring-Framework and Evaluation Criteria, 15th November 2021
WFP and DMEO undertook a one-day virtual workshop on the fundamentals of Output-Outcome-Monitoring-Framework and the OECD-DAC evaluation criteria for all staff of the DEO, Govt of Rajasthan, on 15th November 2021.

 

c. Session on Cost-Benefit Analysis and Communicating Evaluation Findings, 30th March 2022
WFP and DMEO took a one-day classroom session on Cost-Benefit Analysis and Communicating Evaluation Findings for all staff of the DEO, Govt. of Rajasthan.

Government of Tamilnadu

1. Signing of Statement of Intent
DMEO has signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with Planning Department, Government of Tamil Nadu in July 2021 to strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation in the state. The key areas of focus of engagement will be to assist the Government of Tamil Nadu in building technical capacities to build a robust M&E system in the country which include institutionalizing an output outcome monitoring system, training state officials and sharing best practices emerging from the national and international arena.
